Resumé Development - Once you have identified the title and experience level (internship to executive) of the position you are pursuing, preparation of a targeted resumé is essential. Career Services offers resumé development assistance through individualized review or through the Resumé Wizard application. Additional support is available for preparation of cover, thank you and position acceptance letters.

Interviewing - Being prepared for an interview is one of the most important steps to the entire interview process. Your preparation will educate you on the company, the position requirements, and identify your primary qualifications for the position. In addition, preparation will help build your self-confidence and improve your overall performance. We encourage you to use InterviewStream inside My Compass to My Career to practice interviewing by creating and critiquing your own videos. Please send a copy of your video to your Career Advisor so we may provide you with feedback. You may also schedule a mock interview with a career professional.

Networking Development - Making connections with personal and professional contacts should rank at the uppermost level of your career search process. Since a large number of open positions are not posted through public sources, your networks can open doors for you. Career Services hosts networking events and webinars to help you get started, plus offers a variety of tools to learn more about the art of networking.
